expand Do you take large items and when?
When you call our office 24 hours in advance of your pickup day, we will take some bulk items on your normal trash pickup day. For appliances, metal, or heavy items we will service with a different vehicle. Please call our customer service department at (703) 818-8222 for the schedule of these pickup dates. There is a nominal fee for the special pickup based on the type of item. Prices begin at $50.00.
expand Does the trash inside the cart have to be bagged?
expand How many toters (carts) are we allowed to have?
Each resident receives one toter and a recycling bin for no additional charge with the service. If you would like an additional toter we will provide it for a nominal fee per month.

expand What do you accept for residential curbside recycling?

Currently AAA provides curbside recycling collection for all plastics #1-7, cans, glass bottles and jars, and mixed paper.

Mixed Paper Includes: 
     • junk mail
     • magazines
     • catalogs
     • newspapers
     • phone books
     • cereal and cracker boxes
     • flattened cardboard
     • AAA would prefer (3ft x 3 ft).

Items not acceptable for curbside recycling: 
     • light bulbs
     • ceramic dishes
     • cookware
     • pizza boxes
     • plastic or wax coated paper (milk cartons)
     • hardcover books
     • styrofoam
     • plastic bags
     • aluminum foil or foil pie pans

Currently, AAA is offering RecycleBank rewards in some service areas. Please visit our website or www.RecycleBank.com for more information.

expand What happens when my service day falls on a holiday?
expand What if we have extra bags?
We will pick up one toter and up to three additional bags. Please call our office 24 hours in advance to advise us of the extra trash. There will be an extra charge for additional bags of trash.

expand What time does the trash have to be out at the curb?

Fairfax and Loudoun County residential customers refuse must be placed at the curb by 6:00 a.m. on your collection day.

Prince William County residential customers refuse must be placed at the curb by 5:00 a.m. on your collection day.
