Single Stream Recycling
AAA Recycling & Trash Removal Services hauls its residential recycling to recycling centers in Northern Virginia that accepts single stream recycling materials. In most cases, our recycling is collected in rear-load residential compactor trucks, which are identical to those used in collecting rear-load residential trash.
Single stream recycling allows all the acceptable recycle materials to be mixed together in one collection container at the curb. The commingled recycling is then hauled away as single stream recycling. A recycling center must be equipped to handle commingled recycling that is single streamed. The recycling materials are then sorted by the type of recyclables at the recycling centers.
AAA wants to increase the overall recycling efforts by communities, by removing the need for its residential customers to have to sort their recycling at the curb.
Currently AAA provides curbside recycling collection for all plastics #1-7, cans, glass bottles and jars, and mixed paper.
Mixed Paper Includes:
• junk mail
• magazines
